Last March 2008  I was asked to participate in an art show that would help benefit our Chesapeake Bay. I grew up only minutes away from the bay. I had spent, and still do, a lot of days on and around the bay as a young child fishing with  my dad. I think my father even taught me how to swim in the bay. So of course I was more than happy to help such a worth while cause.
Our local newspaper interviewed myself and the gallery owner about the show and how we hoped the event would draw more attention to our beloved bay. The show turn out to be a huge success. My painting of a blue crab "Treasure of the Chesapeake Bay" was an award winner that night. Part of the proceeds from the sale  of the original and sales of my prints went to help clean the bay.
